PCGI Courses
Cliffhanger Guides is a proud provider of Professional Climbing Guides Institute (PCGI) courses and assessments. PCGI offers nationally recognized rock climbing guide training and certifications focused on grade III terrain and below. PCGI courses are designed to advance the technical proficiency and efficiency of both professional and aspiring rock climbing guides/instructors and provide crucial training in guide-specific skills.
PCGI courses and assessments are based on an experiential education model and focus on hands-on training that addresses a variety of different learning styles. We are proud to support our students throughout their careers with continued mentoring and education as well as networking with guide services across the USA to connect students with job opportunities.
We offer all four levels of PCGI rock climbing guide instruction and certification 1) Top-Rope Guide, 2) Single-Pitch Guide, 3) Lead Guide, and 4) Multi-Pitch Guide as well as Rescue Training and continued Mentoring.
